Matt Weinhold has performed stand-up comedy for over 30 years, headlining across the country and appearing on shows for NBC, CBS, MTV, VH1, A&E, Comedy Central, Showtime, and FOX. As an actor, Matt has guest starred on CBS’s The Weird Al Show, HBO’s The Comeback, NBC’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and the feature film, Green Flash. He has also appeared in a multitude of TV commercials, for products ranging from Dunkin’ Donuts, KIA, Aflac, Roundup, Hometown Buffet, Ford, and even a Burger King commercial where he takes on Darth Vader. In the world of voice-over, Matt’s vocal talents can be heard in GSN’s Throut & Neck, MTV’s Super Adventure Team, Nickelodeon’s Squirrel Boy, G4’s Code Monkeys, and as the voice of “Arthur” in the Journyman Project CD Rom series. Matt also wrote and performed on Style Channel’s The Dish with Danielle Fischel and CBS’s Culture Click. He’s appeared on numerous “countdown” specials for various networks; his favorite being Why We Love Vampires for NBC.
Concentrating on writing, Matt has provided material for The Emmy Awards, BBC America’s The Nerdist , and for many years, was the chief contributor to US Weekly’s popular Fashion Police feature. Matt recently entered the world of professional TV show-running, serving as executive producer/head writer for several shows on Playboy TV, including Foursome: Walk of Shame, The Stash, and Groundbreakers, hosted by the legendary John Waters. A fervent comic book/sci-fi/horror geek, Matt has worked often in these genres, doing correspondent work for the SyFy Network, writing for Cartoon Network’s Beware The Batman and Dark Horse Comics’ Creepy, and doing standup in the Star Trek documentary Trekkies. Matt is also one of the hosts of the nerd-friendly hit podcast Monster Party, the first show tapped to be part of the Fangoria Podcast Network. And to top it all off, Matt just completed writing duties on the 3rd season of IFC's horror/comedy series, Stan Against Evil. That's nerd heaven!
