MATTHEW PATRICK DAVIS
Matthew Patrick Davis is a versatile actor/musician/composer. He has co-written, composed, and starred in musicals based on Jurassic Park, The Shining, and The NeverEnding Story, as well as the 8-bit arcade opera The King of Kong: The Unauthorized Musical, all of which have been staged at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles. With no subject too dark or absurd to musicalize, Matt’s lyrics touch on topics both strange and taboo.
He recently debuted his first solo show, Matt Davis Gets a Girlfriend, a one-man musical about one man's quest not to die alone. He composed and stars in the forthcoming short film Bulimia: the Musical. An accomplished pianist, Matt also performs a solo act that highlights original comedy songs such as "Guns!" "Facebook Birthday," and "She Doesn't Like Radiohead.” Those songs, and many others, can be seen on his popular YouTube page.
As an actor, he has appeared on television shows such as Community, The Sarah Silverman Program, Greek, Joan of Arcadia, and Days of Our Lives. His stage work includes critically-praised productions with the Pasadena Playhouse, the La Jolla Playhouse and the Reprise Theatre Company. Utilizing his lean 6'8" stature, Matt’s physical comedy skills are on display in national spots for Coke Zero and Sprint.
