Eden Daniel

Eden Daniel is a New York based actor, writer, and director originally from the Washington, D.C. metro area. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Theatre. While at UMD, she was the co-lead in two Second Season plays (Cypher, For Colored Girls) and performed in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center’s main stage production of Tartuffe. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue filmmaking at Loyola Marymount University’s graduate program in the School of Film & Television. After directing two short films and producing many more, she graduated with an M.F.A. in Film and T.V. Production with a focus on screenwriting and has been cast in numerous short films.

Eden was selected to be a part of the first cohort of Ryan Murphy’s Half Initiative PA Intensive. As a fellow, she worked as a production assistant on Monsters: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and later as the director’s assistant on The Color Purple (2023). Her short film Re-member was also the official selection of the Black Femme Supremacy Film Fest and the Bush Films Festival. Born in Gothenburg, Eden is a dual citizen of both the U.S. and Sweden. With East African roots, she is tri-lingual speaking fluent Afan Oromo, Amharic and English.
