Omer Ben-Shachar is an award-winning writer/director. His short film 'Tree #3' won a Student Academy Award, Urbanworld’s Best Young Creator Award, Palm Springs’ Audience Award, was nominated for a Student Emmy, and screened at over 60 festivals worldwide. His recent film 'Single Residence Occupancy' won first place at Imagine Entertainment & Adobe ShortFest and the Jury Award at the Atlanta Film Festival, qualifying it for the 2026 Academy Awards. His latest, 'Houston We Have a Crush', premiered at the 2025 Palm Springs ShortFest and is now on the festival circuit, with its international premiere set for SXSW Sydney. A graduate of AFI’s Directing Program, Omer has participated in Film Independent’s Screenwriting Lab and Project Involve, as well as Warner Bros. TV Directors’ Workshop and Paramount’s Viewfinder Program. Beyond narrative work, he has directed music videos featured in Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Nowness, earning multiple Vimeo Staff Picks, a Webby Award, and a Cannes Lions Young Directors Award nomination. His commercial clients include Microsoft, Bayer, Honkai: Star Rail, and Amdocs.
