Prior to acting, Abra trained as a classical singer earning her B.A. in Music from Union College, and briefly continued her studies at The International Lyric Academy of Rome & Viterbo, and The Juilliard School. Concerts and celebratory events include the National Anthem for Fleet Week, The Wounded Warriors Project, The US Marine Corps and multiple sporting events.
Abra received her Certificate of Acting from The Tom Todoroff Conservatory and further training includes Larry Moss, The Freeman Studio, Manhattan Film Institute, The Upright Citizens Brigade, Patsy Rodenberg and Shari Shaw.
Theatre highlights include Shakespeare performances both home and abroad, notably Lady Macbeth in Scotland & Portia in Venice with performances partially in Italian.
The first independent film she was cast in, De-ploy, was accepted to Cannes Court Métrage, and since then she has appeared in over a dozen indie shorts, as well as the TV movie The Probe. Most recently, she played the lead in the comedic short For Pete's Sake - a finalist in Canadian, Portland & Phoenix Short Film Festivals.
