SEÁN CULLEN

The recipient of multiple Canadian Comedy Awards and three Gemini Awards (the Canadian Emmy), Seán Cullen combines stream of consciousness improv with uncanny mimicry and broad musical talents to create a comedic style that is truly his own.  A veteran of the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Seán has made stand-up television appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay LenoThe Late Late ShowThe World Stands UpPremium Blend and as a semi-regular on MAD TV with his former group, Corky & the Juice Pigs.  His comedy specials include Comedy Central PresentsWood, Cheese & ChildrenComics and Seán Cullen’s Home for Christmas.

 

A gifted actor, Seán has guested on countless Canadian and America television series including the hit Sundance Channel mini-series Slings & Arrows, CBS’ The Ellen Show and the CBC hit, This Hour Has 22 Minutes.  He also starred in his own Canadian television series The Seán Cullen Show, which he also created and produced for the CBC.   (He has also has high profile development deals in the States with both CBS and Universal.)   He has also acted in Mike Myers’ Love Guru and on Ellen Degeneres’ Ellen’s Really Big Show at The Las Vegas Comedy Festival.

 

Seán has lent his voice to numerous animated toons including CBS’s George & Martha and Maurice Sendak’s Seven Little Monsters for PBS.  In theatre, Seán had a long successful run starring as Max Bialystock in the Toronto production of Mel Brooks’ musical The Producers.  Most recently, Seán added award-winning novelist to his credit with “Hamish X and the Cheese Pirates” and released the second book of the trilogy “Hamish X and the Hallow Mountain.”  “Hamish X” has been optioned by The Cookie Jar Company (ArthurCaillouDoodlebops) to develop an animated TV series.
