Matt Weinhold

Matt Weinhold has been described by the San Francisco Weekly as diverse, fiercely original, and one of the freshest acts around. As a stand-up comic, he won the Seattle Comedy Competition and placed third in the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition. He has appeared on NBC's "Comedy Showcase" and "Late Friday," Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," Showtime's "Full Frontal Comedy," and Fox’s "Comic Strip Live." Much more than just a stand-up, Matt’s eclectic career includes writing a pilot for British television, serving as head writer/performer for various San Francisco-based sketch troupes, doing voice-overs for MTV's "Super Adventure Team" and Game Show Network's "Throut & Neck," providing correspondent work on the Sci-Fi Channel, and appearing as himself in the cult movie, "Trekkies." He has created and developed projects for Comedy Central, VH1, Klasky-Csupo and Shockwave.com. For many years he was the chief contributor to US Magazine's popular "Fashion Police" feature and has provided material for the shows "Starface" (GSN), "Trigger Happy TV" (Comedy Central), and "The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards." As a writer/performer he was worked on shows "Pop Rocks" (VH1/Jersey TV pilot), "The Dish" (Style Net), and Culture Click (ABC). And if that weren’t enough, Matt recently co-created and starred in the racy comedy pilot "Fit to Be Tied." Current writing credits include Warner Brothers' "Beware the Batman" cartoons, Dark Horse Comic's "Creepy," BBC America's "Nerdist" starring Chris Hardwick, and an upcoming pilot for the SyFy Network.
