Laura Catalina Ortiz was born in Bogota, Colombia. She finished high school early, took up acting and headed to Los Angeles where she now resides. She got her first "real" gig in 2005 on the Showtime TV show, "Sleeper Cell." In 2006, she booked a lead role off her very first movie audition for Wes Craven's "The Hills Have Eyes." Her performance was nominated for a Chainsaw Award. She followed that up by booking two television guest appearances on "In Justice" (Fox) and "Drake & Josh" (Nickelodeon). She has appeared in big-screen flicks like "Norbit" with Eddie Murphy (2007) and "Legacy" (2008) and also guest starred on the 2008 Comedy Central pilot, Night Writer.

Laura is currently a series regular on FearNet's original series "Holliston," a horror sitcom created by Adam Green. She is also a series regular voice on the Disney Channel animation series "Fishhooks" and has recorded voice work for the studio feature hit "Horton Hears a Who!" starring Jim Carrey and Steve Carell. Laura presented at The Annie Awards with Tom Kenny (the voice of SpongeBob) and recently voiced multiple characters for Adult Swim's "Robot Chicken." In 2010, she completed a lead role in the horror film "Chillerama." Laura is also an Urban Dictionary definition!
